Overview
Outer is a recovery companion that reads circulation in real time and turns it into gentle, actionable guidance. I designed the conversational interface around Otto, the in-app assistant, so that clinical signals like blood-flow scores feel understandable rather than alarming.

Approach
Working from sensor data outward, I prototyped how scan results should read at a glance: a single circulation score, a plain-language explanation, and one recommended action. Every screen was pressure-tested with people mid-recovery, which pushed the interface toward fewer numbers and warmer language.
Outcome
The final app pairs a calm visual system with a chat-first flow, so guidance arrives the way a physical therapist would give it — one clear next step at a time. The work shaped Outer’s wider brand direction across packaging and web.
