Overview
Gather asks one question — “How are you feeling today?” — and builds everything else around the answer. It offers a quick mood check-in, gentle prompts, and a clear path to emergency contacts when someone needs more than an app.
Approach
Designing for someone on a hard day means removing every unnecessary decision. The check-in is one tap. Emergency contacts are never more than two. Color, type, and motion were tuned to feel like a slow exhale — soft blues, unhurried transitions, and no streaks or scores to break.
Outcome
Gather became a study in restraint: the fewer features it had, the more trustworthy it felt. The final concept centers daily check-ins as a quiet habit rather than another notification competing for attention.
